Arrival Info
Double-check your email course registration (from Chesapeake Boating Academy) to confirm the location of your course. Group text threads will be sent out a few days prior to the course with Captains name and additional information. Students should arrive 15 minutes prior to start of course to sign waivers and get fitted for life jackets. Text Sarah at (410) 829-5057 with any questions.
Training Boats
We have 2 training boats that move between our locations of the Kent Narrows and Greater Annapolis (Edgewater). The navy hulled boat is a 212 Hydra-sports with a 200 hp outboard and the white hulled boat is a 239 Key West with a 250 outboard. Both boats have new electronics, USCG required safety gear and additional gear to keep students safe, relaxed and comfortable.

CBA students should park in the townhome parking lot for “Guests” and walk between the two sets of townhomes (marked 6 & 7 in this diagram) to enter Wells Cove Marina. Once in the marina, go left to A dock. The training boat will be on your right, in slip A35. The dock box has Chesapeake Boating Academy & BoatUS On-Water Training graphics on it. An instructor will meet you on the dock by slip A35.
Annapolis Area Information
2025 NEW LOCATION!
Oak Grove Marina- 2820 Solomons Island Rd. Edgewater, MD. 21037
Now offering on-the-water training on the South River out of Oak Grove Marina in Edgewater. Students should park in open parking spots and walk towards Pier 5 (the fuel dock). Captains will meet students at the start of the dock and walk to the boat together, which will be located in a lift in slip 100D. Bathrooms can be found at the bottom of the Oak Grove Marine Center.
